Thursday, April 12th, 2007Just remembered that I meant to post this somewhere. Here’s a picture of the Father Jack t-shirt that I made:
I made a stencil outline from a photo of him, printed it onto acetate (OHP film) and cut around it with a knife. Then I used two coats of fabric paint to create the design. The lettering was done in the same way.
To make your own, grab a copy of the stencil from here: Father Jack stencil (at least until Channel 4, Hat Trick Productions, or a drunken Irish priest tell me to remove it). It’s really low resolution, but that shouldn’t matter as it’s just a guide. Just print it off at the size you want, cut out all the black bits, then paint over it.
